Ingredients
-
1 slice sandwich bread
-
2 teaspoons mayonnaise
-
1 slice cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
-
1 beef hot dog (or frank)
Instructions
-
Spread mayonnaise on one side of the bread.
-
Flip the bread and layer with cheese and the beef frank in the center.
-
Roll the bread tightly around the hot dog. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
-
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
Place the rolled hot dog seam-side down in the air fryer basket.
-
Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
-
Let cool slightly before serving. Remove toothpick if used.
Notes
-
Flatten the bread slightly with a rolling pin to help it wrap around the hot dog more easily.
-
Swap out cheddar for pepper jack, mozzarella, or American cheese.
-
Add a smear of mustard or ketchup inside the roll for extra flavor.
-
Use vegetarian or turkey franks as a substitution.
-
Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer.
