Description

This fun and easy Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Hot Dog recipe combines two comfort food favorites in one crispy, melty bite. Perfect for a quick lunch, kid-friendly snack, or a nostalgic dinner treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 slice sandwich bread

  • 2 teaspoons mayonnaise

  • 1 slice cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)

  • 1 beef hot dog (or frank)

Instructions

  1. Spread mayonnaise on one side of the bread.

  2. Flip the bread and layer with cheese and the beef frank in the center.

  3. Roll the bread tightly around the hot dog. Secure with a toothpick if needed.

  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  5. Place the rolled hot dog seam-side down in the air fryer basket.

  6. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Remove toothpick if used.

Notes

  • Flatten the bread slightly with a rolling pin to help it wrap around the hot dog more easily.

  • Swap out cheddar for pepper jack, mozzarella, or American cheese.

  • Add a smear of mustard or ketchup inside the roll for extra flavor.

  • Use vegetarian or turkey franks as a substitution.

  • Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer.
