Description

These Baked Barbecue Chicken Thighs are juicy, tender, and packed with flavor from a homemade barbecue sauce. Perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner!


Ingredients

  • Barbecue Sauce:

    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons orange juice
    • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
    • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • Chicken Thighs:

    • 5 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs (810 thighs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a sheet pan with foil.
  2. Prepare Barbecue Sauce: Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside some for basting.
  3. Coat Chicken Thighs: Toss chicken thighs in the remaining sauce until coated.
  4. Bake Chicken: Place chicken on the prepared pan, bake for 25-30 mins, basting with reserved sauce halfway through.
