Description

This Beef and Bean Sheet Pan Quesadilla Recipe is a delicious and easy-to-make dish perfect for a family dinner or a gathering with friends. Layers of seasoned ground beef, refried beans, and cheese are sandwiched between flour tortillas and baked until golden and crispy.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 13 (8 to 10-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 3 cups shredded Mexican style cheese

Additional Ingredients:

  • Softened butter, for greasing the pans
  • Guacamole
  • Sour cream
  • Pico de gallo
  • Fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Butter Sheet Pan: Grease an 18×12-inch rimmed sheet pan with butter.
  3. Lay Tortillas: Arrange 10 tortillas on the pan, overlapping slightly.
  4. Cook Beef: Brown ground beef, mix in taco seasoning and refried beans.
  5. Layer Ingredients: Spread beef mixture over tortillas, top with cheese, add more tortillas, fold edges.
  6. Bake: Place another buttered pan on top, bake for 30 mins, then remove top pan and bake for additional 5 mins.
  7. Serve: Cut into squares and serve with guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and cilantro.

Notes

  • Use fresh tortillas for best results.
  • For extra crispiness, remove the top pan during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  • To make it spicier, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • If you don’t have an 18×12 sheet pan, use two smaller pans.
  • Remove toothpicks before baking to avoid melting or burning plastic.
