For the steak
- 1 lb steak (flank steak or sirloin)
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp Ginger powder
For the Stirfry
- 2 tbsps sesame oil
- 1/4 cup Onions (Diced)
- 1/8 cup Garlic (Diced)
- 1/8 cup Ginger (Diced)
- 16 oz Noodles (spaghetti)
- 16 oz Broccoli
Sauce
- 3/4 cup Dark Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cup Honey or brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oyster sauce
- 1/8 cup Rice Vinegar
- 1 tbsp browning (optional)
For the cornstarch Slurry
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: Marinate the steak with cornstarch, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and ginger powder. Set aside.
- Prepare the stir-fry: Heat sesame oil in a pan, sauté onions, garlic, and ginger. Add noodles, broccoli, and the marinated steak.
- Make the sauce: Mix dark soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and browning. Pour over the stir-fry.
- Thicken the sauce: Prepare a cornstarch slurry and add to the stir-fry to thicken the sauce.
- Serve: Enjoy your beef and broccoli lo mein hot!
Notes
- You can customize the vegetables in this dish by adding bell peppers, snow peas, or carrots.
- Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less honey, according to your preference.
