  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 pound breakfast-style sausage in bulk or casings removed
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 ounces freshly grated white cheddar cheese
  • 6 brioche burger buns or English muffins
  • 6 large eggs
  • Fresh arugula
  • Canola oil for cooking the burgers
  • 1/3 cup mayo or plain Greek yogurt (yogurt used)
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake the bacon until crisp.
  2. Mix Burger Ingredients: Combine ground meat, sausage, maple syrup, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Shape into patties.
  3. Cook Patties: Sear the patties in a skillet, top with cheese, and cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Toast Buns and Cook Eggs: Toast buns, cook eggs as desired.
  5. Assemble: Spread sauce on buns, add arugula, burger patty, bacon, egg, and top bun. Serve and enjoy!
