Description

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. pizza dough, at room temp.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 1 ¾ cups mozzarella cheese, whole milk/low moisture
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Optional toppings:
  • 14 slices pepperoni
  • ¼ cup sliced onions and peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 475° F.
  2. Roll out dough: Roll the dough into a 14-inch circle and transfer to a greased cast iron skillet.
  3. Season dough: Brush olive oil, sprinkle parmesan cheese and oregano on the dough.
  4. Bake: Bake the crust for 5 minutes, then add sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  5. Finish baking: Bake for an additional 10 minutes, brush the crust with butter, and broil for 1 minute.
