Description

These cherry pie bombs are a delicious twist on traditional cherry pie. Flaky biscuits filled with sweet cherry filling, fried to perfection, and coated in a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

Scale

  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 16.3 ounces Grands “Big” biscuits, flaky
  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare Biscuits: Flatten each biscuit and place a spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center. Fold dough over filling and pinch seams to seal.
  2. Fry: Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F. Fry pie bombs until golden brown.
  3. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and corn syrup to make a glaze. Dip fried bombs in glaze.

Notes

  • Make sure to seal the biscuits well to prevent filling from leaking out during frying.
  • You can dust the finished pie bombs with powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
