- 1 kg Chicken thighs and drumsticks
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 3 tablespoon Sweet Hungarian Paprika
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 cups Chicken Broth (up to 2.5 cups if you want more sauce)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- ¾ cup Sour Cream
- 1.5 tablespoon Flour
- 1 tablespoon of Water
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, brown the chicken in butter. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Onion and Garlic: In the same skillet, cook onion and garlic until softened.
- Add Paprika and Broth: Stir in sweet and smoked paprika, then add chicken broth.
- Simmer: Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
- Thicken Sauce: Mix flour and water, then stir into the sauce to thicken.
- Finish with Sour Cream: Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
- Serve: Serve hot over noodles or rice.
