Cookie Dough
- 2 sticks butter at room temperature
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter, divided
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 36–40 chocolate kisses
Instructions
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream: In a large bowl, cream together butter, 1/2 cup peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in: Add egg and vanilla extract, mix until well combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until fully combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Shape cookies: Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll them in powdered sugar before placing them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are set but still soft. Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
