- 5 tablespoons + 1 1/2 teaspoons water
Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Dough: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and nutmeg. In a separate bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla extract, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Roll and Cut the Cookies: Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Place on a baking sheet and bake until edges are lightly golden.
- Make the Icing: In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, meringue powder, vanilla extract, salt, and water until smooth. Decorate cooled cookies with icing as desired.
