Description

The Completo Italiano is a delicious twist on the classic hot dog, featuring beef or pork sausages topped with mashed avocado, diced tomatoes, onions, and a generous drizzle of mayonnaise.

Main Ingredients:

    • 4 hot dog buns (soft, slightly larger style)
    • 4 beef or pork sausages (about 400 g / 14 oz)
    • 2 ripe avocados (about 300 g / 10.5 oz), mashed with lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper
    • 1 medium tomato (150 g / 5 oz), finely diced
    • ½ small onion (optional), finely chopped

Additional:

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (15 ml)
  • 12 tbsp olive oil (1530 ml)
  • Mayonnaise (about 120 g / 4 oz, piped generously)
  • Optional: sauerkraut or coriander

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sausages: Cook the sausages according to package instructions until browned and cooked through.
  2. Assemble the Completo Italiano: Place a sausage in each bun, top with mashed avocado, diced tomatoes, onions, and drizzle with lemon juice, olive oil, and mayonnaise.
