Main Ingredients:

    • 2 pack frozen udon noodles
    • 3 tbsp butter (unsalted)
    • 3 clove garlic, minced
    • 2 shallots, chopped
    • 1 ½ tbsp gochujang
    • ½ cup heavy cream
    • ½ cup reserved noodle water
    • 2 tsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp gochugaru
    • grated parmesan cheese
    • egg yolk (optional)

Garnish:

  • 1 green onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook Udon Noodles: Boil udon noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Prepare Sauce: In a pan, melt butter, sauté garlic and shallots until fragrant. Add gochujang, heavy cream, soy sauce, gochugaru, and reserved noodle water. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  3. Combine: Toss cooked noodles in the sauce until well coated.
  4. Serve: Garnish with green onions, parmesan cheese, and optional egg yolk. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of gochujang and gochugaru.
