Main Ingredients:
- 1 lb. baby bella mushrooms
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 pinch salt & pepper
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/8 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Sauté Mushrooms: In a large pot, sauté mushrooms and garlic in olive oil until tender. Season with salt & pepper.
- Make Roux: Add butter to the pot and melt, then stir in flour to create a roux.
- Add Broth & Simmer: Gradually whisk in vegetable broth, soy sauce, and thyme. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Finish with Cream: Stir in heavy cream and heat through. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve: Ladle into bowls and enjoy hot.
