Description

This Crock Pot BBQ Chicken recipe delivers tender and flavorful chicken smothered in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. It’s the perfect dish for a hassle-free dinner that the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 3.5 lbs (1.5 kg) boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray’s)
  • ¼ cup (60 g) light or dark brown sugar packed
  • 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼½ teaspoon crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and crushed red pepper. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Pour the sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s fully coated.
  4. Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the chicken is tender.
  5. Step 5: Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the crock pot.
