Description

These Easy Birds Nest Cookies are a fun and simple treat to make with kids. Crunchy Cocoa Krispies mixed with creamy peanut butter and topped with Cadbury mini eggs make for a delightful Easter dessert.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Main Ingredients:

    • 3 cups Cocoa Krispies
    • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 cup chocolate chips (milk chocolate)
    • 36 Cadbury Mini Eggs

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate: In a microwavable-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals on low-power, stirring in between until fully melted.
  2. Mix Ingredients: Stir together peanut butter and melted chocolate. Pour over Cocoa Krispies in a bowl, stirring until fully coated.
  3. Prepare Muffin Tin: Grease a 12-count muffin tin. Scoop the mixture evenly into each cup, creating nests. Use a spoon to hollow out the center of each nest.
  4. Harden Nests: Place the muffin tin in the fridge or freezer to harden the nests.
  5. Add Eggs: Once hardened, place three Cadbury mini eggs in the center of each nest.

Notes

  • You can customize these nests by adding shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or sprinkles to the mixture before shaping them.
  • For a festive touch, use pastel-colored candy eggs for Easter or any occasion.
