  • 3 teaspoons active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • ⅓ cup sugar (70g)
  • 3 ¾ cup all purpose flour (490g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened at room temperature (85g)

Egg wash:

    • 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon milk

Garlic butter:

    • ¼ cup salted butter (57g)
    • 23 garlic cloves, finely chopped
    • 12 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Add flour, egg, salt, and butter. Knead until smooth.
  2. Rise: Let the dough rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  3. Shape: Divide dough into rolls, place on a baking sheet, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  4. Bake: Brush with egg wash and bake at 375F for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Make garlic butter: Melt butter, add garlic, and parsley. Brush on warm rolls before serving.
