Description

Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature (2 sticks)
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 2 tbsp whole milk
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (343 grams)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For Rolling

  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream Together Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add Cream Cheese and Flavorings: Add cream cheese, vanilla extract, almond extract (if using), and milk. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Sift in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until the dough comes together.
  4. Chill and Roll: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Roll dough into balls, then roll in sugar.
  5. Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
