Description

Enoki Beef Rolls are delicious appetizers made by wrapping enoki mushrooms and onions in thinly sliced beef, then cooked to perfection and served with a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Enoki Beef Rolls:

  • 12 slices thinly sliced beef
  • 1 pack enoki mushroom split into 12 pieces
  • ½ small yellow onion sliced
  • 2 large eggs

Sauce:

  • 1 cup dashi broth
  • 2 tablespoon mirin
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • 1 stalk green onion diced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Lay out the beef slices and place enoki mushrooms and onions on each slice. Roll them up and secure with toothpicks.
  2. Cook the rolls: In a pan, cook the rolls until beef is cooked through.
  3. Make the sauce: Mix dashi broth, mirin, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper in a saucepan and simmer.
  4. Serve: Remove toothpicks from beef rolls, pour sauce over them, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • You can customize the filling by adding other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
  • For a spicier version, add a dash of chili flakes to the sauce.
