Description

This French Onion Chicken Bake is a delicious and savory dish that combines tender chicken breasts with caramelized onions and gooey cheese. It’s an easy weeknight meal that the whole family will love!


Ingredients

  • 4 Onions (peeled and sliced)
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 2/3 cup Low Sodium Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 4 Chicken Breasts (boneless skinless)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesean Cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray
  2. Caramelize onions: Add butter to a skillet, cook onions, garlic, pepper, and thyme until caramelized
  3. Add broth and vinegar: Stir in beef broth and balsamic vinegar until jam-like consistency
  4. Layer ingredients: Place onions in baking dish, add chicken, salt, remaining onions, and cheeses
  5. Bake: Bake for 30 minutes until chicken reaches 165 degrees internally
