- 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup beef broth (or water)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a casserole dish.
- Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Layer Potatoes: Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in the casserole dish. Season with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning.
- Add Beef Mixture: Spread the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Repeat Layers: Add the remaining potatoes on top of the beef. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Add Cheese & Broth: Pour beef broth over the casserole and top with a mixture of cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
