These Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are a perfect combination of sweet and savory flavors. Tender salmon bites are coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds for a delicious appetizer or main course.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 1 pound salmon, about 3 filets, skins removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Sauce

  • ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter
  • ½ cup (170 g) honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • green onions, for garnish
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep Salmon: In a bowl, combine salmon cubes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Make Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter. Add honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, white wine vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Cook until sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Cook Salmon: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon cubes and cook until browned on all sides. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon and toss to coat.
  4. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of garlic and red pepper flakes in the sauce to suit your taste preferences.
  • For a caramelized finish, broil the salmon bites for a few minutes after tossing in the sauce.
