For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs (or breasts, if preferred)
- 1 cup buttermilk for tenderizing
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the Biscuits:

- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp cold unsalted butter cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- Store-bought biscuits can also be used for convenience
For the Hot Honey:

- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 –2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar optional, for tanginess
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Tenderize the Chicken: Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- Prepare the Chicken Coating: In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Fry the Chicken: Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture, then fry until golden and cooked through.
- Make the Biscuits: Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly, then add buttermilk and mix until dough forms.
- Bake the Biscuits: Shape dough into biscuits and bake until golden.
- Prepare the Hot Honey: Combine honey, red pepper flakes, vinegar, and salt in a saucepan, heat until warm.
- Assemble the Dish: Sandwich fried chicken between biscuits, drizzle with hot honey, and enjoy!
Notes
- If using store-bought biscuits, follow package instructions for baking.
- Adjust the spice level of the hot honey by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
