  • For the Tandoori Marinade:
  • 35g (Thumb Sized Piece) Ginger
  • 3 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 15g (1/3-1/2 Packed Cup) Fresh Coriander
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking Oil
  • 50g (1/4 Cup) Yoghurt
  • Freshly chopped coriander for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. Prepare the marinade: In a blender, combine ginger, garlic, salt, cumin, chili powder, garam masala, turmeric, coriander, lemon juice, oil, and yogurt. Blend into a smooth paste.
  3. Marinate the chicken: Coat the chicken pieces with the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Skewer the chicken: Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers: Grill the skewers on medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate for longer periods.
  • Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water before threading the chicken to prevent burning.
