  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 egg yolks

Lemon Syrup:

  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 3 (1-inch) strips of lemon peel
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup limoncello liqueur

Mascarpone Layer:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 24 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 10 ounces crisp ladyfingers

Instructions

  1. Make Lemon Curd: Combine lemon juice, sugar, eggs, yolks, and salt in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla, then chill.
  2. Prepare Lemon Syrup: Simmer sugar, lemon peel, and juice until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, stir in limoncello, and cool.
  3. Whip Mascarpone Layer: Beat heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in mascarpone and lemon zest.
  4. Assemble Tiramisu: Dip ladyfingers in lemon syrup, layer with lemon curd and mascarpone mixture.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
