- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg, at room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
For the Lavender Sugar:
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/2 tbsp culinary lavender
For the Lavender Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- Purple food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Earl Grey Cookies: Combine Earl Grey tea, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cream together sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix dry and wet ingredients. Chill dough, then shape and bake.
- Make the Lavender Sugar: Mix sugar and culinary lavender together.
- Create the Lavender Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter, add powdered sugar, vanilla, and food coloring if desired.
Notes
- You can adjust the level of lavender flavor by increasing or decreasing the amount of culinary lavender used.
- For a more intense color, add more purple food coloring to the frosting.
