- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal squares, such as Chex®
Topping:
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: In a large bowl, mix honey, sugar, peanut butter, and salt. Add in cereal squares and stir until well coated. Press mixture into a lined pan.
- Make the Topping: Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together. Spread over the base layer.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate until set, then cut into bars and enjoy!
Notes
- You can customize these bars by adding chopped nuts, dried fruits, or coconut to the base mixture.
- For a firmer topping, chill the bars in the fridge for longer.
