Description

This no-oven Turkish bread recipe for Bazlama requires only 3 ingredients and is easy to make. With a soft and fluffy texture, this bread is perfect for pairing with various dishes or enjoying on its own.

  • 500 g Bread flour or all-purpose flour (4 cups)
  • 160 ml Warm milk (2/3 cup)
  • 160 ml Warm water (2/3 cup)
  • 10 g Instant dry yeast (1.5 tbsp)
  • 10 g Sugar (1 tbsp)
  • 8 g Salt (0.8 tbsp)

Topping:

  • 20 g Melted unsalted butter (or olive oil)
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Combine flour, warm milk, warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  2. Shape the dough: Divide the dough into 6 pieces and shape them into rounds.
  3. Cook the bread: Flatten each round into a circle and cook on a hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Add toppings: Brush with melted butter or olive oil and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • You can customize the toppings with sesame seeds, nigella seeds, or other herbs.
