For the Breadsticks:
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp salt
For the Topping:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add flour, butter, and salt. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
- Shape the Breadsticks: Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a 9-inch rope. Place on a baking sheet.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake breadsticks for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Top with Garlic Butter: Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and salt. Brush over warm breadsticks. Serve and enjoy!
