Description

This Orange Chicken recipe combines the sweetness of orange marmalade with the tang of barbecue sauce to create a flavorful dish that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 18 ounce jar orange marmalade (Smucker’s brand)
  • ¾ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Original barbecue sauce
  • 2 pounds (approximately 3 large) boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1 ½ inch pieces and patted dry with a paper towel
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (to pan sear the chicken)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: Whisk together the orange marmalade and barbecue sauce in a small bowl.
  2. Sear the chicken: Cook the chicken pieces in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  3. Add sauce and simmer: Combine cooked chicken with sauce in the skillet and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  4. Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding water to loosen the sauce if needed.
