Description

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage, chicken or pork
  • 2 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1½ cups heavy cream

Veggies:

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 ribs celery, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups baby spinach

Seasonings:

  • ½ cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 45 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon each dried basil, thyme, salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried fennel

Others:

  • 1 pound potato gnocchi

Instructions

  1. Cook Italian Sausage: Brown sausage in a pot, drain excess grease.
  2. Sauté Veggies: Cook onion, celery, carrots until softened.
  3. Season and Add Tomatoes: Stir in garlic, seasonings, and tomatoes.
  4. Deglaze and Simmer: Add wine, broth, simmer for 20 mins.
  5. Cook Gnocchi: Add gnocchi, cream, cook until tender.
  6. Add Spinach and Serve: Stir in spinach, serve hot.
