Description

This Savoury Puff Pastry Christmas Tree is a delightful holiday appetizer filled with layers of Boursin cheese, prosciutto, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry and shaped like a festive tree.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets puff pastry (500g)
  • 100g Boursin cheese or herbed cream cheese
  • 150g prosciutto or salami or capocollo
  • 50g shredded cheddar cheese
  • mixed seeds
  • egg wash (1 egg + 1 tablespoon milk)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare filling: Roll out the puff pastry sheets and spread the Boursin cheese, prosciutto, and cheddar cheese evenly over one sheet. Place the other sheet on top and cut into a triangle shape to resemble a tree.
  3. Shape the tree: Make cuts along the sides of the triangle and twist them to create branches. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with mixed seeds.
  4. Bake: Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can customize the filling with your favorite cheeses and deli meats.
