Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup regular soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 1/4 teaspoon white ground pepper

Shrimp and Noodles:

  • 9 ounces ramen noodles (do not use the flavor packets)
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil, divided into 1 tablespoon and 2 tablespoons
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed

Vegetables:

  • 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup sliced baby portabella mushrooms
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons sliced scallions, green onions, optional garnish
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds, optional garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, sugar, garlic, ginger, oyster sauce, sriracha, and white pepper.
  2. Cook the noodles: Boil noodles, drain, and rinse. Set aside.
  3. Cook the shrimp: Sauté shrimp until pink, then set aside.
  4. Sauté the vegetables: Cook bell pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, and onion until tender.
  5. Combine: Add shrimp, noodles, and sauce to the skillet with vegetables. Toss together and cook briefly.
  6. Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
