Description

These Soft and Chewy Cinnamon Roll Sugar Cookies are a delightful combination of a classic cinnamon roll and a sugar cookie. The cinnamon sugar filling adds a warm, comforting flavor to the soft and chewy cookie base.

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Filling: Mix together the butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. Make the Cookie Dough: Cream the butter and sugar, then add in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk. Mix in the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Assemble the Cookies: Roll out the dough, spread the cinnamon sugar filling, roll up, slice, and bake until golden.
