- 6 cups boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 medium ripe peaches (pitted and diced)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves and peach slices for garnish
Instructions
- Steep Tea: Place tea bags in boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and discard.
- Make Peach Syrup: In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, diced peaches, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and peaches are soft, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Combine: In a pitcher, combine the brewed tea and peach syrup. Stir well to mix.
- Chill: Refrigerate until cold.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the peach tea over the ice, and garnish with mint leaves and peach slices. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
- For a stronger peach flavor, let the peach syrup sit for a few hours or overnight before combining with the tea.
- Feel free to add a splash of bourbon or vodka for an adult version of this drink.
