- 1 tsp salt, divided
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 14 oz Mexican chorizo
- 3 large garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lb shellbow pasta
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup pasta water or more
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, mix chicken tenders with 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and oregano. Cook in a skillet until browned.
- Cook Chorizo Mixture: In the same skillet, cook Mexican chorizo, garlic, and onion until chorizo is browned. Deglaze with white wine.
- Add Creamy Sauce: Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, and remaining salt. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Combine and Serve: Add cooked pasta, parmesan, lemon juice, and pasta water to the sauce. Toss to combine and serve hot.
