This Thai Spice Sweet Tea recipe combines traditional Thai spices with the sweetness of sugar and coconut milk for a unique and flavorful twist on classic sweet tea.

- 4 1/4 cups water
- 4 cardamom pods
- 3 whole star anise
- 3 whole cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon tamarind paste (optional)
- 1/3 cup white sugar, or to taste
- 5 bags rooibos tea
- 2 bags black tea
- 3/4 cup coconut milk, blended smooth
Instructions
- Boil Spices: In a large pot, bring water, cardamom pods, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, and tamarind paste to a boil.
- Add Sugar and Tea: Stir in sugar, rooibos tea, and black tea. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add Coconut Milk: Remove from heat, stir in blended coconut milk, and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain and Serve: Strain the tea mixture into a pitcher and serve over ice.
