Description

This recipe combines juicy chicken and al dente linguine in a rich and flavorful Cowboy Butter Sauce that will surely become a family favorite.

For the Pasta:

    • 8 oz linguine
    • Salted water, for boiling
    • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water

For the Cowboy Butter Sauce:

    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1/4 cup chicken broth
    • 1/4 cup heavy cream
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. In a skillet, cook chicken in olive oil and butter until browned and cooked through.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Make the Cowboy Butter Sauce: In the skillet used to cook chicken, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine: Toss cooked linguine in the Cowboy Butter Sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed. Serve topped with the chicken.

  • Add cooked vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra nutrition.
