Chocolate Layer:

  • ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup pecans chopped into bits (plus more for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Caramel Layer: Melt caramel squares with 2 tablespoons of whipping cream in a saucepan until smooth. Spread into a lined pan.
  2. Prepare Chocolate Layer: Melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix in pecans and pour over the caramel layer.
