Description

This Chicken Onigiri recipe combines seasoned sushi rice with tender teriyaki chicken, wrapped in crispy nori for a delicious Japanese snack or meal.

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice: Mix cooked sushi rice with salt and furikake.
  2. Marinate chicken: Combine chicken with marinade ingredients and refrigerate.
  3. Prepare teriyaki sauce: Mix soy sauce, mirin, and brown sugar.
  4. Cook chicken: Sauté marinated chicken, then add garlic and teriyaki sauce.
  5. Shape onigiri: Wet hands, scoop rice, add filling, shape into triangles, and wrap with nori.

Notes

  • You can customize the filling with your favorite ingredients like pickled vegetables or spicy mayo.
