Main Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb large shrimp, deveined and peeled
- 200 g spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or 1 dried red chili, crushed
- 1/2 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp parmesan or mozzarella cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season Shrimp: Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Cook Pasta: Boil water, add pasta, and cook until 1 minute shy of al-dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp Mixture: Heat oil, cook garlic, add red pepper flakes, onion, tomato, and shrimp. Add tomato sauce and cream, then bring to a boil.
- Combine: Add pasta, cheese, mix, and season with salt. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!
Notes
- Thaw frozen shrimp by submerging in cold water for 10 minutes.
- Pat dry shrimp before seasoning to remove excess water.
