Main Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed and separated into drummettes and wings
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 1/2 inch piece ginger, coarsely chopped
- 1 lime, zested and juiced
- 2 Tbsp light brown sugar, packed
- 2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 2 Tbsp unseasoned rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3 Tbsp sesame oil
Garnish:
- sliced scallions
- lime wedges
- sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate: Whisk all the marinade ingredients together and coat the chicken wings in a Ziploc bag. Chill for at least 4 hours.
- Bake: Preheat the oven, bake the wings for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
- Make Sauce: Strain reserved marinade, boil with water for 10 minutes.
- Serve: Sprinkle wings with sesame seeds and scallions, serve with sauce and lime wedges.
Notes
- Marinating overnight enhances flavor and tenderness.
- Add Sriracha for more heat.
- Turn wings while baking for even cooking.
