Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed and separated into drummettes and wings
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 1/2 inch piece ginger, coarsely chopped
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 2 Tbsp light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 2 Tbsp unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 Tbsp sesame oil

Garnish:

  • sliced scallions
  • lime wedges
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Marinate: Whisk all the marinade ingredients together and coat the chicken wings in a Ziploc bag. Chill for at least 4 hours.
  2. Bake: Preheat the oven, bake the wings for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
  3. Make Sauce: Strain reserved marinade, boil with water for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve: Sprinkle wings with sesame seeds and scallions, serve with sauce and lime wedges.

Notes

  • Marinating overnight enhances flavor and tenderness.
  • Add Sriracha for more heat.
  • Turn wings while baking for even cooking.
  • Optional: reduce reserved marinade for a saucy topping.
