For the Muffins:
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 5 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup warm milk
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin.
- Prepare batter: Mix dry ingredients, then add wet ingredients until just combined.
- Bake: Divide batter into muffin tin and bake for 20-22 minutes.
- Coat with cinnamon sugar: Dip warm muffins in melted butter, then in cinnamon sugar.
