- 3 pounds boneless pork chops – 1/2 inch thick (bone in pork chops can be used)
- 3 tablespoons neutral cooking oil
- 2 large eggs – or water to dip
- 1 1/2 cups plain breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil and a baking rack on top.
- Prepare coating: Mix breadcrumbs, cornmeal, cornstarch, spices, and oil until crumbly.
- Dip pork chops: Dip each pork chop in beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Bake: Place pork chops on the prepared rack and bake until cooked through.
- Rest and serve: Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
