Fillings for 2:

  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 pound thinly sliced meats
  • 3/41 pound cheese

Egg Wash & Topping for 2:

  • egg wash: 1 large egg beaten with 1 Tablespoon water
  • optional: fresh or dried parsley, flaky sea salt, grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Whisk the yeast mixture: Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Add remaining dough ingredients: Mix in olive oil, salt, and flour. Beat on low speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Knead the dough: Knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Rise: Let the dough double in size for 60-90 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven and prepare baking sheets.
  6. Shape the dough: Divide, roll, and fill each portion with meats and cheeses.
  7. Brush with egg wash, roll, and seal.
  8. Bake: Bake at 400°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
